I had one doe in house of fraser by Clinique. This guy did it for me, and i didnt buy any of the products. He even had this chart, and wrote down every single product he used and how to apply it.

He really helped me out and it didnt cost a penny.Which stores in the uk offer makeup consultations?
most large department stores offer this facility
debenhams and john lewis do them, maybe boots as well
EVERYWHERE i dont know cost but loads of shops do it check ..... super drug.... boots
try a clinique counter in debenhams or where ever they give you a makeover and you only have to buy one product or something like that

you can ask whoever is doing it loads of questions too
I've seen people doing them in Boots, Debenhams and The Body Shop. I don't think they cost anything, they just want you to buy stuff. And I think they take about half an hour.
Check out the local colleges for unbiased consultations that are not designed simply to promote a particular range of products.

Downside-fitting in with their salon times and curriculum.
Boots and the beauty counters at all the large department stores like Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Fraser.

Should take about half an hour.
Seriously - anywhere! Just be browsing the counter of your favourite brand, and someone will immediatly rush up to you and be like do you want anything? You just say ';Are your products suitable for sensetive/dry/oily/combo/young skin?'; They'll be so eager to do your make up for you, they'll basically FORCE you into the chair! It works for me!

TIP: Never wear make-up when going shopping - get it done proffesionally!
I am based in Hampshire and do makeovers, makeup personal shopping services and makeup lessons - feel free to check out my site as my prices are fab :)

Most department stores %26amp; chemists with cosmetic counters do consults. Usually take about an hour, and are free. Some do charge a min fee that's redeemable against their products. Even when free they do kind of expect you to purchase one or more of the products they've used on you, but your not oblidged to.
