UK/S.East/London Females...would you help a guy with shopping/makeup etc to be more feminine?

I'm wondering if there's any girls based in and around the london area who are actually fond of having guy mates who enjoy being more girly?

I'm not gay, perhaps a little bi but since i was little i've loved all things feminine.

i love makeup, heels, dressing up, etc and would love to hear from people who would want to be friends..

I've only ever dressed in my own space, no one knows and i cant tell anyone because i can't risk hurting family or friends.

Hence I'm out looking for cool girl mates who understand me and would have jokes with me helping me out with makeup, and maybe we can learn how to walk in heels together!!..lolz

Can anyone point me in the right direction? where can i make friends like that?

im in my mid 20s, and i actually think i could look convincing as a girl.

here's 3 of my pics just to show ya:

You poor fella, I don't mean this to be a nasty answer but your lifestyle choice is a very difficult one. Society finds it a lot easier to accept butch women than it does girly men. I'm not a dyke or anything but I'm not really interested in dressing up, and it's ok because I just wear baggy jeans and band tshirts that fit properly and I look normal, nothing out of the ordinary. But you'll stand out because you're wearing notably effeminate clothes and you're male.

To answer your question, I'd love to get fashion tips off you because you look like you know a hell of a lot more about looking nice than I do, but I don't live in London. :)UK/S.East/London Females...would you help a guy with shopping/makeup etc to be more feminine?
i live in london. but i wouldn't help much.

but keep doing your thing, just be careful though as (obviously) there are many small minded people in the world who may not agree with your appearance.
oh sweetie, I know you have posted on here several times recently and I really do feel for you, but I don't think this is the best place to try to meet girly friends that will want to talk hair and make-up with you.

If you go to a gay bar most of the girls there probably aren't going to be into that sort of thing anyway (there might be some but not really many from what I have seen and based on the gay girls I know).

You might be able to find a local support group for transvestites, at least then you will meet men in a similar situation to you and they may be able to help.

I really do hope you find a new best friend that you can experience these things with. Unfortunately I don't think it would be me as you're probably more feminine than I am! xx
Why... Do you feel you need a female to help you ?

Just go shopping, and look in the mirror.

This is for Q and A, not for personal Ad's.

Uk girls: would you help a young guy become more feminine? (shopping, makeup!) :)?

as a young TV, I lovee to be feminine and girly whenever possible. due to my culture i cant 'come out' to family so id really love to meet friends who'd treat me as a girl, help me shop and dress, etc.. everything girly goes. am just interested in seeing how many girls in the uk, (near london if poss) would be interested in being my friend.. I wana be one of the girls sometimes.. It'd be soo ace.

I believe I'm not gay, but when i dress up as a girl i do begin to think of guys, etc.. i know it sounds strange..but once you get to know me..you'll see im a nice girl :)Uk girls: would you help a young guy become more feminine? (shopping, makeup!) :)?
all i can say is buy clothes on line go to top-shop site miss selfridge

i feel for you must be hurting that you cant come out to family take care

Being feminine and girly isn't just the makeup and clothes you wear, it's your personality, mannerism, and the things you like.

People can tell you what to wear if you want to be more feminine but at the end of the day, if it's not the styles you would pick you might feel uncomfortable. Find a celebrity you most feel personifies the way you wished you looked and dressed and use that as a template but try to make the style your own and unique.

One thing I find really makes any male very feminine is thinning the eyebrows down.
sure ill be your friend. you cant judge someone before you know them. =]
Aw I would but I'm not near London sorry
i would but i live in usa srry
ill be ur friend,im me x
ewwwww

I never really tried makeup. Where do I find a good product in the UK?

It should be easy to apply without looking artificial, without animal testing as well. I'm white and rather pale at the moment. It would be nice to find something that makes me look like after a short sun tan, makes me look fresher and more colourful. lol.

As I don't get enough sleep and my skin is rather thin, the area under my eyes is often a bit shadowy and sometimes slightly swollen.

I don't want people to laugh at me though if don't apply it properly.

So I actually would need advice on which products are best and how to use them.

Oh, my eyes are brown and my hair is long, straight and dark blonde.

Any advice would be appreciated. :-)I never really tried makeup. Where do I find a good product in the UK?
Well i would recommend Body Shop has they do amazing makeup, (their own brand) and their totally against animal testing, but MAC is a fantastic brand, though im not to sure if their against animal testing.I never really tried makeup. Where do I find a good product in the UK?
THE TWO BEST AND MOST NATURAL DRUGSTORE BRANDS

(And neither test on Animals!)

Best if used for Normal to Combo skin types:

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty

http://www.sallyhansennaturalbeauty.com/鈥?/a>

Can be bought at a local Ulta, Jewell-Osco (Super Value), Duane Reade, Rite Aid, CVS Pharmacy, or Long Drugs stores. Also sold at ulta.com, duanereade.com, and cvs.com.

Best if used for Sensitive or Dry skin types:

Physician鈥檚 Formula

http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/d鈥?/a>

Can be bought at a local Albertson鈥檚, Bartell Drugs, CVS pharmacy, Drug Mart, Drug Fair, Duane Reade, Fred Meyer, H.e.b., Harmon, Hi-School Pharmacy, Kerr Drug, K-mart, Long Drugs, Marc's, Meijer, Rite Aid, Shopko, Snyder鈥檚 Drug Store, Target, Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart online, Wegmans, and Drugstore.com.
my advice is to go a department store and have a demo. For example, the larger boots stores have demo counters. There the beautician will be able to advise you in person taking into account your skin type, colouring etc. You dont have to buy anything but naturally the beautician will be hoping to make a sale, so have a figure in your mind or you'll come away with a whole make up collection.

Try to combine it with a night out and you'll get a free make over at the same time. on your way out have a squirt of expensive Perfume and youre set for the night!
Benefit is really good make-up and so is Dior most make-up at Debenhams is really good and their are people at counters who can show you how to apply make up and give you tips.
the brand innoxa is not tested on animals. i have very pale skin as well and their foundation colour called ';buttermilk'; is perfect for me. sry i'm not in the UK so i don't know whether you can get it there. when you are trying makeup, don't go too dark a colour at least to start with, try to keep it as close to your natural colour as possible and make sure you blend properly. for blond hair, go with a brown eyeliner and mascara because black can look way too harsh with light hair, especially if you have light eyebrows and lashes.
dream matte mousse foundation, its cheap and good quality, (use a cosmetic sponge for application, not your finger)

blend a bit on your collarbone before you buy any to find the perfect shade (your hands are darker than your face)

Tinted moisturiser can give you a light tan if you want, you seem to realise orange isn't a good face colour :)

If you want better quality but more expensive, use MAC and chanel

Put concealer on under your eyes over the foundation, blend well and use a brush.

Bronzing pearls or bronzer compacts can give a summery glow IF used correctly. Dont be tempted to layer it on, just a light dusting is enough and use the largest brush possible to disperse it evenly and not cake your skin up. less is more in this case

Keep your skin clean and well moisturised as make up dries it out and can clog your pores. also, a make-up artsit tip which can work depending on your foundation is to add a little bit of good quality moisturiser into your liquid foundation and mix well on your hand/pallet with a brush before applying (either with a foundation brush or cosmetics sponge - brush gives even, thicker application and sponge thinner and sheer)

finally, as you are a blonde use black masscarra and eyelash curlers to enhance fair lashes. a dark nude pink will suit your colouring for your lips and a peachy pink blush looks natural, fresh and young.

hope i helped =D

I don't live near by but good on you! :]
Hiya! I'm Jenny, I'm from Birmingham, UK. :D I keep seeing this question, and whilst I can't hang out with you, I do want to help you make that friend.

I think it's great that you wanna make friends with new people, but most people on this site are from the US or other countries, so I don't think you'll have much luck here. Have you tried any UK chatrooms? Or, if you get one of the London newspapers, you can put in an advert or send a letter in about how you want to make friends. Alternatively, you could just go to a London nightcluba nd who knows? Maybe you will meet your friend there. I think that you are more likely to find that friend in these ways, rather than on yahoo answers! Hope I helped :D

    you make me sick

I am from birmingham, england, uk.. if i go into the mac cosmetics store, do they do makeup if you pay them?

They can do a peak demo, for which you don't need to book or pay anything. This usualy lasts around 15min and they soley concentrate on a feature (eg, eyes, lips). You can choose what you would like. Although in busy times they might not be able to do this, so always think about when your going into the store.

Another way of gettin you're makeup done is to book a make-over session. This is booked up in advance and consists of a 45min to 1 hour make-up session. This is a full application of makeup and can be anything you want :) This does however cost 拢25 but its reedemable on products on the day of the purchaise.

These sessions are really popular (especialy on saturdays since majority of people want to go out with fab makeup :) ) The best way to look at it you get all the products you need with a full make up, and tips on how to apply it.

EnjoyI am from birmingham, england, uk.. if i go into the mac cosmetics store, do they do makeup if you pay them?
No you don't have to pay! Try the mac counter in selfridges, bullring. I think they have mac in debenhams bullring too. They are very busy in both shops, so you will need to book and appointment (I know this from experience!) You won't HAVE to buy anything, but you should definetly act VERY interested in the products on sale. Maybe ask for a few samples, and buy a small item, if you have the money to spare. You also won't have to pay for them to do your makeup, it is free! But like I said before, you will have to book in advance. So maybe you should go in the morning, book an appointment for later and in the mean time go shopping! The krispy kreme dohnuts on the bottom floor of selfridges are AMAZING!! They sometimes give out free ones, when they are making a fresh batch!! Haha, sorry for going off topic... I just love those dohnuts!!

Have a good time in selfridges! (or I guess you could go to the mac store if you want. You won't have to pay therre either.) :)I am from birmingham, england, uk.. if i go into the mac cosmetics store, do they do makeup if you pay them?
if its the store is in the US and you go just ask them to do it they usually will they want you to buy their products and if you try them you're more likely to buy
None of the big makeup houses charge for making you up! They do, however, expect you to purchase some products.

Try Debenhams in the Bull Ring - very good choice in there.
yeah, you book an appointment but often if they're not busy they'll do it for you without one :)

    I think it's about 拢10 but it's redeemable on products :)
