I'm wondering if there's any girls based in and around the london area who are actually fond of having guy mates who enjoy being more girly?
I'm not gay, perhaps a little bi but since i was little i've loved all things feminine.

I've only ever dressed in my own space, no one knows and i cant tell anyone because i can't risk hurting family or friends.
Hence I'm out looking for cool girl mates who understand me and would have jokes with me helping me out with makeup, and maybe we can learn how to walk in heels together!!..lolz
Can anyone point me in the right direction? where can i make friends like that?

mspreeti ';at'; hotmail ';dot'; co ';dot'; ukUK/S.East/London Females...would you help a guy with shopping/makeup etc to be more feminine?
You poor fella, I don't mean this to be a nasty answer but your lifestyle choice is a very difficult one. Society finds it a lot easier to accept butch women than it does girly men. I'm not a dyke or anything but I'm not really interested in dressing up, and it's ok because I just wear baggy jeans and band tshirts that fit properly and I look normal, nothing out of the ordinary. But you'll stand out because you're wearing notably effeminate clothes and you're male.
To answer your question, I'd love to get fashion tips off you because you look like you know a hell of a lot more about looking nice than I do, but I don't live in London. :)UK/S.East/London Females...would you help a guy with shopping/makeup etc to be more feminine?
i live in london. but i wouldn't help much.
but keep doing your thing, just be careful though as (obviously) there are many small minded people in the world who may not agree with your appearance.
oh sweetie, I know you have posted on here several times recently and I really do feel for you, but I don't think this is the best place to try to meet girly friends that will want to talk hair and make-up with you.
If you go to a gay bar most of the girls there probably aren't going to be into that sort of thing anyway (there might be some but not really many from what I have seen and based on the gay girls I know).
You might be able to find a local support group for transvestites, at least then you will meet men in a similar situation to you and they may be able to help.
I really do hope you find a new best friend that you can experience these things with. Unfortunately I don't think it would be me as you're probably more feminine than I am! xx
Why... Do you feel you need a female to help you ?
Just go shopping, and look in the mirror.
This is for Q and A, not for personal Ad's.

Uk girls: would you help a young guy become more feminine? (shopping, makeup!) :)?
as a young TV, I lovee to be feminine and girly whenever possible. due to my culture i cant 'come out' to family so id really love to meet friends who'd treat me as a girl, help me shop and dress, etc.. everything girly goes. am just interested in seeing how many girls in the uk, (near london if poss) would be interested in being my friend.. I wana be one of the girls sometimes.. It'd be soo ace.
I believe I'm not gay, but when i dress up as a girl i do begin to think of guys, etc.. i know it sounds strange..but once you get to know me..you'll see im a nice girl :)Uk girls: would you help a young guy become more feminine? (shopping, makeup!) :)?
all i can say is buy clothes on line go to top-shop site miss selfridge
i feel for you must be hurting that you cant come out to family take care
were lots pinkUk girls: would you help a young guy become more feminine? (shopping, makeup!) :)?
Being feminine and girly isn't just the makeup and clothes you wear, it's your personality, mannerism, and the things you like.
People can tell you what to wear if you want to be more feminine but at the end of the day, if it's not the styles you would pick you might feel uncomfortable. Find a celebrity you most feel personifies the way you wished you looked and dressed and use that as a template but try to make the style your own and unique.
One thing I find really makes any male very feminine is thinning the eyebrows down.
sure ill be your friend. you cant judge someone before you know them. =]
Aw I would but I'm not near London sorry
i would but i live in usa srry

I never really tried makeup. Where do I find a good product in the UK?
It should be easy to apply without looking artificial, without animal testing as well. I'm white and rather pale at the moment. It would be nice to find something that makes me look like after a short sun tan, makes me look fresher and more colourful. lol.
As I don't get enough sleep and my skin is rather thin, the area under my eyes is often a bit shadowy and sometimes slightly swollen.
I don't want people to laugh at me though if don't apply it properly.
So I actually would need advice on which products are best and how to use them.
Oh, my eyes are brown and my hair is long, straight and dark blonde.
Any advice would be appreciated. :-)I never really tried makeup. Where do I find a good product in the UK?
Well i would recommend Body Shop has they do amazing makeup, (their own brand) and their totally against animal testing, but MAC is a fantastic brand, though im not to sure if their against animal testing.I never really tried makeup. Where do I find a good product in the UK?
THE TWO BEST AND MOST NATURAL DRUGSTORE BRANDS
(And neither test on Animals!)
Best if used for Normal to Combo skin types:
Sally Hansen Natural Beauty
http://www.sallyhansennaturalbeauty.com/鈥?/a>
Can be bought at a local Ulta, Jewell-Osco (Super Value), Duane Reade, Rite Aid, CVS Pharmacy, or Long Drugs stores. Also sold at ulta.com, duanereade.com, and cvs.com.
Best if used for Sensitive or Dry skin types:
Physician鈥檚 Formula
http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/d鈥?/a>
Can be bought at a local Albertson鈥檚, Bartell Drugs, CVS pharmacy, Drug Mart, Drug Fair, Duane Reade, Fred Meyer, H.e.b., Harmon, Hi-School Pharmacy, Kerr Drug, K-mart, Long Drugs, Marc's, Meijer, Rite Aid, Shopko, Snyder鈥檚 Drug Store, Target, Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart online, Wegmans, and Drugstore.com.
my advice is to go a department store and have a demo. For example, the larger boots stores have demo counters. There the beautician will be able to advise you in person taking into account your skin type, colouring etc. You dont have to buy anything but naturally the beautician will be hoping to make a sale, so have a figure in your mind or you'll come away with a whole make up collection.
Try to combine it with a night out and you'll get a free make over at the same time. on your way out have a squirt of expensive Perfume and youre set for the night!
Benefit is really good make-up and so is Dior most make-up at Debenhams is really good and their are people at counters who can show you how to apply make up and give you tips.
the brand innoxa is not tested on animals. i have very pale skin as well and their foundation colour called ';buttermilk'; is perfect for me. sry i'm not in the UK so i don't know whether you can get it there. when you are trying makeup, don't go too dark a colour at least to start with, try to keep it as close to your natural colour as possible and make sure you blend properly. for blond hair, go with a brown eyeliner and mascara because black can look way too harsh with light hair, especially if you have light eyebrows and lashes.
dream matte mousse foundation, its cheap and good quality, (use a cosmetic sponge for application, not your finger)
blend a bit on your collarbone before you buy any to find the perfect shade (your hands are darker than your face)
Tinted moisturiser can give you a light tan if you want, you seem to realise orange isn't a good face colour :)
If you want better quality but more expensive, use MAC and chanel
Put concealer on under your eyes over the foundation, blend well and use a brush.
Bronzing pearls or bronzer compacts can give a summery glow IF used correctly. Dont be tempted to layer it on, just a light dusting is enough and use the largest brush possible to disperse it evenly and not cake your skin up. less is more in this case
Keep your skin clean and well moisturised as make up dries it out and can clog your pores. also, a make-up artsit tip which can work depending on your foundation is to add a little bit of good quality moisturiser into your liquid foundation and mix well on your hand/pallet with a brush before applying (either with a foundation brush or cosmetics sponge - brush gives even, thicker application and sponge thinner and sheer)
finally, as you are a blonde use black masscarra and eyelash curlers to enhance fair lashes. a dark nude pink will suit your colouring for your lips and a peachy pink blush looks natural, fresh and young.
hope i helped =Doily skin care

I don't live near by but good on you! :]
Hiya! I'm Jenny, I'm from Birmingham, UK. :D I keep seeing this question, and whilst I can't hang out with you, I do want to help you make that friend.
I think it's great that you wanna make friends with new people, but most people on this site are from the US or other countries, so I don't think you'll have much luck here. Have you tried any UK chatrooms? Or, if you get one of the London newspapers, you can put in an advert or send a letter in about how you want to make friends. Alternatively, you could just go to a London nightcluba nd who knows? Maybe you will meet your friend there. I think that you are more likely to find that friend in these ways, rather than on yahoo answers! Hope I helped :D

I am from birmingham, england, uk.. if i go into the mac cosmetics store, do they do makeup if you pay them?
They can do a peak demo, for which you don't need to book or pay anything. This usualy lasts around 15min and they soley concentrate on a feature (eg, eyes, lips). You can choose what you would like. Although in busy times they might not be able to do this, so always think about when your going into the store.
Another way of gettin you're makeup done is to book a make-over session. This is booked up in advance and consists of a 45min to 1 hour make-up session. This is a full application of makeup and can be anything you want :) This does however cost 拢25 but its reedemable on products on the day of the purchaise.
These sessions are really popular (especialy on saturdays since majority of people want to go out with fab makeup :) ) The best way to look at it you get all the products you need with a full make up, and tips on how to apply it.
EnjoyI am from birmingham, england, uk.. if i go into the mac cosmetics store, do they do makeup if you pay them?
No you don't have to pay! Try the mac counter in selfridges, bullring. I think they have mac in debenhams bullring too. They are very busy in both shops, so you will need to book and appointment (I know this from experience!) You won't HAVE to buy anything, but you should definetly act VERY interested in the products on sale. Maybe ask for a few samples, and buy a small item, if you have the money to spare. You also won't have to pay for them to do your makeup, it is free! But like I said before, you will have to book in advance. So maybe you should go in the morning, book an appointment for later and in the mean time go shopping! The krispy kreme dohnuts on the bottom floor of selfridges are AMAZING!! They sometimes give out free ones, when they are making a fresh batch!! Haha, sorry for going off topic... I just love those dohnuts!!
Have a good time in selfridges! (or I guess you could go to the mac store if you want. You won't have to pay therre either.) :)I am from birmingham, england, uk.. if i go into the mac cosmetics store, do they do makeup if you pay them?
if its the store is in the US and you go just ask them to do it they usually will they want you to buy their products and if you try them you're more likely to buy
None of the big makeup houses charge for making you up! They do, however, expect you to purchase some products.
Try Debenhams in the Bull Ring - very good choice in there.
yeah, you book an appointment but often if they're not busy they'll do it for you without one :)
I think it's about 拢10 but it's redeemable on products :)

Is e.l.f. makeup stocked in-store anywhere in the UK, other than online?
If so, where can I find it?
I live in London and would like to try before I buy...Is e.l.f. makeup stocked in-store anywhere in the UK, other than online?
I believe it's online only in the UK. The prices are so cheap though, it's hard to go too wrong. If you enter your email address on their site, they'll email you when they have free shipping deals etc.
If you check the US ELF site (elf.com) there are a ton of reviews for each product, which should help you choose what's right for you.

Ooh yay! I know the BEST makeup brand and I've been dying to share it with someone!!! Ok, so they brand is called ';b never too busy to be beautiful'; They are complety vegan and non of their products are tested on animals :D They have a few stores around the UK. One in Londons Covent Garden (covent garden is a really cool marketplace), one in Londons Oxford street (Where all the posh shops are!), one in Dorset and one in Leeds. Here are the addresses of the shops: https://www.bnevertoobusytobebeautiful.c鈥?/a>
Ok, so all their stuff is so pretty! The makeup is very high quality and comes in the cutest fair trade containers that I have ever seen! For example: https://www.bnevertoobusytobebeautiful.c鈥?/a> and https://www.bnevertoobusytobebeautiful.c鈥?/a>
You definatly have to go to one of their shops! I love the blush in colour ';bliss';. I also love their eye glitter (very similar to barry m dazzle dust! I love barry m dazzle dust too! :D)
If you don't get to go to one of their shops, you can still order online. Here's their site (main page): https://www.bnevertoobusytobebeautiful.c鈥?/a>
Have an awesome time in London!! :D I reccomend that you check out Camden Market. They have loads of really cute, quirky stuff (handmade jewllerry, candles, etc etc) and it's all really cheap!
OK, so hope I helped!! :DFavorite Makeup Brands/Products in the UK?
You should check out a brand called Gosh, specifically a lipstick called 'Darling'. It's a lovely, soft pinky nude colour. Also, Barry M lip products are good, especially the lip paints. Collection 2000 is good for glitter eyeliners and they're really cheap too. Rimmel London have some really great nail polishes, eye shadows and lip products. If you're wanting to spend a little more, check out new brand Illamasqua - gorgeous brand and higly recommended.
I love Barry m and sleek i have nearly all their products,i love barry m for their colours and creativity and sleek for their smooth application and long lasting products.OMG if you go to a store called superdrug you have to stop by the brand sleek and try out their palettes they even have some new editions out you get 12 colours for under 5 pounds and the pigmentation is amazing .i think their are originally 3 palettes which will never be discontinued called
storm-everyday neutrals and lots of shimmery colours for smokey eyes
originial-shimmery colours -every colour of shade is in there
chaos-bright matt colours for dramtic looks.
i know you said best but heres the worst- dream matte mousse foundation, it sucks, it lasts about 45 miniutes, melts and strreaks in the sun , enhances every little lump and bump, completely clogs up poures, does nothing for oily skin nor dry according to my friends.
lol, i just wanted a rant about how **** this foundation is, fanx for the oportunity lmao x
I like Boots No7 range and they often have 3 for 2 offers on their makeup.

What is the best big-name makeup brand (in the UK) for my skin?
I want to go to a makeup counter in a UK department store and get advice and buy some foundation and concealer etc.
Which makeup brand should I approach for this? I see counters for clinique, clarins, estee lauder and lots of others and I'm confused about which is best for me.
My skin is very pale, fairly sensitive, prone to pinkness, a mix of dry and oily. I have large pores and eye circles I need to hide. I'm getting some wrinkles now too as I approach late 30s.
Any suggestions for which brand is most appropriate? What is the best big-name makeup brand (in the UK) for my skin?
Clinique. If you go into Debanams the woman who works in the make up part will test different shades on you to suit your natural skin colour and they have different ones for dry/greasy skin. You just have to tell her what your skins like and what sort of look you want, like flawless (hiding blemishes etc) and what your skins like e.g. Dry/greasy. I went with my mum and she got the perfect one for her so im sure you'll find one. What is the best big-name makeup brand (in the UK) for my skin?
You should go to the pharmacy where they have medical brands for people with skin problems like you.
Hope that helped.
Good Luck.
Good Bye.
maybellene products actually work
From what you have described , I think you should try Clarins. Clarins has mostly plant based skincare that is suited to sensitive skin.
Illamasqua!
Not very ';big,'; I suppose, but definitely amazing.
it sounds like you need make-up that is suitable for very specific skin.
try to find a salon or therapist that uses demalogica products and go there to have your face mapped.
these therapists are specially trained to give you the perfect creams and make-up for your skin!
they can also give a facial that can help alot with your skin and wrinkles
hope i helped!
:)

Hello, I am giving this advise based on the fact i have worked in the luxury cosmetic industry for over 10 years. I would certainly recommend not going to clinique, their products can have really bad effects on the skin long term generally totally altering your skin type. For the best colour match i would say bobbi brown, I worked for them and I always got a perfect match. Estee Lauder double wear gives the best coverage and Lancome do a great one that has anti ageing benefits.
You don't want a foundation that makes you look orange, so I would recommend Illamasqua or Prescriptives.
Illamasqua has loads of colours, and Prescriptives do Custom-Blend where they make you your own unique colour to prefectly match your skin colour and type.
:)
I would try Clinique first, due to the sensitivity of your skin. If you cannot find light enough shades there, then I'd give Chanel a go.
MAC. most department stores supply it (:
quite exspensive but very good.
i'm a clinique fan. like i'm not trying to sell their stuff to you or anything, but everything i've bought from clinique worked great. i have their foundation right now and i love it. they have different kinds of foundations for different skin and the sellspeople can help you find the right one. =] hope this helped
I am a big fan of Estee Lauder. Their Doublewear foundation is great and they will match the best shade to your skin tone. L'oreal under eye concealer is also a great buy, its only 拢6 odd and I find it just as good as the more expensive ones. Just make sure you choose the best shade for your colouring and dab don't rub.

Need a whole new makeup kit please help UK ONLY ?
I usaually buy from these sites:http://www.beautybazaar.co.uk/Cosmetics.aspx?cid=1, http://www.lilylolo.co.uk/home.php, and http://www.logona.co.uk/cosmetics.html (I will consider other brands but have very sensitve skin) I would like a new foundation, mascara's, eyeliner, blusher, lipgloss's or lipsticks, beauty tools and also what are the best false eyelashes and were is the best place to get some bright funky makeup (any websites)
My eyes have a tendency to water in the day so wateproof mascara will be best, my usually foundation wears off, my eye liner smudges and my lipgloss sticks or dosnt stay on so from this what can you reccomend? Thankyou xNeed a whole new makeup kit please help UK ONLY ?
I don't know much about buying online but I do know Revlon, Rubie%26amp;Millie %26amp; Bourjois are good brands. Tesco make-up is sometimes good also. Revlon is my favourite as they always update their range with new ideas.
Also, I was quite surprised with M%26amp;S make-up range, esp. their Autograph, their Per Una range has nice lipsticks %26amp;are not too expensive.(when M%26amp;S have a sale, their make-ups are hugely reduced %26amp; is a good time to check them out!)
On the more expensive brands Bobby Brown,Chanel %26amp; MAC are very good.
For foundation I like Bourjois Happy Light, for long lasting try Revlon Colourstay or Loreal does a longlasting one also(sorry I forget the name but u can check it in Boots)...
Mascara I don't wear but I have heard Maybelline does good ones, esp. their best seller is Great Lash( the pink one)..also max factor 200 calorie...if your eyes water,it could be a sign that you are sensitive to mascara?(perhaps), so maybe wear a hyperallergenic one. perhaps Clarins , but if you'd like an organic or natural one,,try your good health shops,Living Nature http://livingnature.com/catalog/main.cfm鈥?/a>
eyeliner/eyeshadow I don't wear either but again as above, perhaps wear a hyperallergenic one
blusher: I wear MAC %26amp; Bourjois.
Also, Revlon have just brought out a really nice limited edition new range, with things like Pinch Me cheek tints, Just Bitten lip stain lipstick(like your lips have been bitten!), %26amp; a Sugar Sugar lip topping which gives a sort of sugar lip coating...
what i really liked was their Bare It All skin highlighter which gives a nice glow to the face..try them in Boots or from this site:
http://www.revlon.com/
...I quite liked the Just Bitten ip stain also as it doesn't wear off easily %26amp; makes the lips look natural.
I don't like lipgloss as it makes my lips greasy %26amp; doesn't stay long. But if you like it, try Bourjois, they have brought out a new one that is supposed to be less greasy, I think it's called Eau De Gloss:Water based gloss.
Unfortunately I haven't yet discovered net make-up shopping (as you can see I am quite into make-up!!) %26amp; it'd save me some cash if I did find some good ones.I've done a bit of search %26amp; find new products are not on sale on make-up saver's sites, which makes me wonder how old the make-up is %26amp; wether they have expired (sometimes it doesn't matter but for foundation or mascara for example I wouldn't compromise on quality).
I did find this site for YSL best-selling Touche Eclat( it is supposed to be excellent for hiding under eye bags)quite cheap:(u could also check out their other make-up)
http://www.cheapsmells.com/search.php?se鈥?/a>
But Ebay also sells them at reasonable rates.(taking the postage into account, the above site is cheaper.
If you could buy all or some of your requirements on one site, you'd [probably get free P%26amp;P %26amp; some freebies also.
I'm sorry I can'r suggest any sites but you could always google the product u r looking for, %26amp; from there find lots of recommnded sites %26amp; see if they're any good. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, check their policy if sth is not of good acceptable quality, if they have a money back guarantee. Perhaps ask them can I return a product if it isr eally of unacceptable quality.
Also Amazon sells cosmetics but they don't have a big range (go to Homes %26amp; Gardens %26amp; look under PersonalCare) or type in name in search.)
I hope this is of some help!

UK/S.East/London Females...would you help a guy with shopping/makeup etc to be more feminine?
I'm wondering if there's any girls based in and around the london area who are actually fond of having guy mates who enjoy being more girly?
I'm not gay, perhaps a little bi but since i was little i've loved all things feminine.
i love makeup, heels, dressing up, etc and would love to hear from people who would want to be friends..

Being feminine and girly isn't just the makeup and clothes you wear, it's your personality, mannerism, and the things you like.
People can tell you what to wear if you want to be more feminine but at the end of the day, if it's not the styles you would pick you might feel uncomfortable. Find a celebrity you most feel personifies the way you wished you looked and dressed and use that as a template but try to make the style your own and unique.
One thing I find really makes any male very feminine is thinning the eyebrows down.
i would but i live in usa srry

Where do I find a good product in the UK?
dream matte mousse foundation, its cheap and good quality, (use a cosmetic sponge for application, not your finger)
blend a bit on your collarbone before you buy any to find the perfect shade (your hands are darker than your face)
Keep your skin clean and well moisturised as make up dries it out and can clog your pores. also, a make-up artsit tip which can work depending on your foundation is to add a little bit of good quality moisturiser into your liquid foundation and mix well on your hand/pallet with a brush before applying (either with a foundation brush or cosmetics sponge - brush gives even, thicker application and sponge thinner and sheer)
finally, as you are a blonde use black masscarra and eyelash curlers to enhance fair lashes. a dark nude pink will suit your colouring for your lips and a peachy pink blush looks natural, fresh and young.
hope i helped =DI never really tried makeup.
Well i would recommend Body Shop has they do amazing makeup, (their own brand) and their totally against animal testing, but MAC is a fantastic brand, though im not to sure if their against animal testing.
the brand innoxa is not tested on animals. i have very pale skin as well and their foundation colour called ';buttermilk'; is perfect for me. sry i'm not in the UK so i don't know whether you can get it there. when you are trying makeup, don't go too dark a colour at least to start with, try to keep it as close to your natural colour as possible and make sure you blend properly. for blond hair, go with a brown eyeliner and mascara because black can look way too harsh with light hair, especially if you have light eyebrows and lashes.
Benefit is really good make-up and so is Dior most make-up at Debenhams is really good and their are people at counters who can show you how to apply make up and give you tips.

Top Makeup brands in UK??
i live in the UK. iv been watching some MAC makeup tutorials which are really good but when i try them, it comes out rubbish. i guess its cos the eyeshadows and blushers im using are non branded (LOL forgive me!)
so what companies are available in boots/superdrug that are as high qulity as MAC/ Sephora/ nars/ NYX (all the good one in usa)?? and have a good variety of prducts? is ';Benefit'; good?
thank you!Top Makeup brands in UK??
Hey chick it might not be because there not branded because sometimes cheaper is better, i went to superdrug yesterday and its 3 for 2 on all rimmel products and also on maybelline products which are my top two as you probably see them always on tv adverts. I also like collection 2000, Benefit, Barry M, Miss sporty i could go on but they have loads of good offers at superdrug. Hope i helped you chick good luck xTop Makeup brands in UK??
Okay go to a big department store like Debenhams or John Lewis and they have like a whole floor for makeup, or Selfridges also. And they can do your makeup for free if you ask, so you can find the right colour and type for you.
They have most make up brands including all the really good ones.
Try MAC, YSL, Chanel and anyother big name brands.
Benefit is good but remember to try in store before hand to see if it works for you.
I think you get what you pay for to a certain extent - you said it yourself! I use Mac, Chanel and the odd Lancome product. Mac is definitely the best value for money, and there's so much choice too. If you go to one of their counters in Selfridges/Harvey Nicks etc then they'll do a makeover for you, and just ask for tips. But then take a note of all the products that you like and buy them VAT free at the airport...! They also have special packs at the airport that you can't get in shops which usually make it even cheaper. Oh yeah, the other thing is to invest in some decent brushes, it really does make the difference. Again Mac do a couple of different brush sets at the airport for around 拢30 - which may seem a lot, but considering you can pay 拢30 for a half decent foundation brush then it really is a good deal!
Yep, Benefit is amazing! especially their blushers/facepowders..dandelion and dallas are my favourite! Also try Maxfactor! And chanel foundation. Estee Lauder also has very good make-up. Bobbi brown is also very good, not sure if you can buy it in boots, but defnatly in John Lewis!
x
mac is available in the uk and is one of the only make up brands i will use.
benefit is ok for somethings and not for others, all personal preference.
No7, L'oreal and Avon are the best definetly

MAC Makeup in the UK??
i live in the UK (merseyside) and want to know, what shops/ drugstores sell a variety of MAC makeup? anywhere where it isnt too expensive? can i get them in boots/superdrug? or are there any shops specifically for MAC?
thanksMAC Makeup in the UK??
For MAC, they have their own shops. There aren't many though. I just order online. I also use NYX, though I don't know if they sell that here.
Superdrug/boots-wise Barry M dazzle dusts, and the large crayons are amazing. Urban Decay primer is amazing, as are some of their eyeliners. Though Mac is still better, especially for fluidlines.
Not many places sell cream eyeliner like fluidline. But I saw some in superdrug, that was nice and fairly cheap. But I can't remember what is was called, and I haven't tried it.
Ooh, and benefit stuff is really nice too! And bourgois mascara
I personally don't like GOSH at all. But plenty of people love it.
mac stores

Benefit is sold in boots and its really good.
Barry M is sold in superdrug and they have lots of different coloured eyeliners and eyeshadows, like really loads of colours and not too expensive so try them!
Barry M also sells in the bigger topshops or at least it does in the one on oxford street, in london.
I once bought a gosh mascara and i really loved it. I went back to get another one because it was clearly better than my MAC one and they stopped selling it! i was truely devastated.
Barry M is quite good but cheap, i like there nail varnish's.
Cream eyeliners? I think the moouse eye shadows are really good :) and you can get some nice colours :) have a look in boots and i'm sure u will find some.
I personally love benifit make up. :)
they arent sold in boots/superdrug or any chemists.

Do 13 year olds wear makeup in sweden and UK?
In Sweden most girls start wearing makeup when they are 12-13 years old, some start sooner and some start much later. Most teenage girls don't use that much makeup. There are some girls who do use way to much makeup and they look so stupid.Do 13 year olds wear makeup in sweden and UK?
It depends really
In the UK yh most 13 year old girls do but that is mainly because they have bad skin.
Im 14 and i wear make-up 24/7 and its only because i have terrible skin and most of my friends would say im ';addicted'; to it ;)
but some girls just wear it for the sake of it, just look better.
You will see quite a lot of girls who don't wear make-up simply because they dont like ir or just dont need it.
But i'd say mainly people who use it for the sake of it wear the most. and then the skin goes bad and then they wear more.
Girls who wear make-up because they ';need'; it, dont wear that much, just to cover up what they dont like on there skin.
I dont know about Sweden ??!!!
Hope it helps xDo 13 year olds wear makeup in sweden and UK?
I don't know about Sweden but girls in the UK wear make up from as young as about 7 :P Although not all of them do.

Makeup in airports (uk)?
Does anybody know what brands of makeup they sell in airports in the uk, im going soon so im just wondering.
p.s I know i asked this question a while ago but i dident get a answer
Thankyouu.Makeup in airports (uk)?
I'm not sure specifically but I can tell you that you probably won't get anything really nice, and if you do it won't be cheap.
Perfume shops at airports usually have some nicer stuff, like gift sets of Lancome lip gloss tubes or something, but they're generally really expensive.
Also remember that the turnover of cosmetics at airports isn't generally very high so some of the things might have been sitting around for a while before you buy them
Remember as well that it depends where you fly to. Heathrow Airport will have a LOT more variety and probably better brands and fresher products than, say, ManchesterMakeup in airports (uk)?
It depends on the airport but you will likely be able to get:
Dior
Estee Lauder
Elizabeth Arden
MAC
Bobbi Brown
Guerlain
Clarins
YSL
Lancome
Clinique
Chanel
(and if there is a Boots, which most airports do have)
MaxFactor
Revlon
Rimmel
No7/ no17
Maybelline
L'Oreal
Some airports also have a Body Shop, that stocks make-up.
Sometimes the make-up sold in airports is more expensive, but you may get it duty-free.
hello - it depends which airport and terminal you're flying into / out of. Do a google search for ';BAA shopping';, and it will come up with a list of shops within the airport - which will give you an idea of the size of the terminal. Also within the main 'duty free' shop, where you buy the perfume, alcohol, etc., you'll find a big choice of beauty brands - I've been at Heathrow T5 and Gatwick North in the last couple of weeks, and off the top of my head, I saw clinique, clarins, guerlain, chanel, ysl (do a great value double touche eclat pack, which i think is an airport exclusive) -- lots of good stuff. Have a good trip..!
Depends on which airport, Heathrow has a lot of the higher end brand names like MAC, Dior, YSL, Lancome etc. You can find a list of shops here
http://www.baa.com/portal/controller/dis鈥?/a>
You can buy Clinique, Estee Lauder and lots more however in my experience you will find much cheaper products and a better selection online. Personally I buy my cheap cosmetics from http://www.beautyparlor.co.uk and sometimes Ebay.
All the designer brands: Dior, Clinique (but it's twice the US price), L'oreal, YSL, Lanc么me, MAC etc..
airport makeup is always gross and old :[

British/uk girls makeup!? [pics inside]?
i noticed that most british girls have the same type of long fake clumpy looking lashes and i really like the look i have some pictures of examples here

what are some really good false lash looking mascara brands!?
thanks girls
how do i get lashes like this?
what mascara do these girls use? can i get it in america?British/uk girls makeup!? [pics inside]?
That's a big trend over in Britain, I don't know why.
But, Rimmel is a wonderful brand, it's inexpensive about 拢5.60 for the mascara.
There's a volume flash one, which works wonders.
Benefit, albeit slightly more expensive is brilliant.
The best thing to do is layer up mascaras, you want to buy mascaras that have a thickening, volumizing and lengthening claim.
layer them up.
So, put one mascara on, then whilst it's still wet add another mascara etc till you get the length you like.
Hope this helps!British/uk girls makeup!? [pics inside]?
what i would do is get fake eyelashes first.
apply them just at the top
then get some clumpifying mascara (crappy or ones specifically made to get your eyelashes clumpy) because i've seen some brands of mascaras that are made just to get your eyelashes clumpy
so just put lots of coats on, and you will achieve the look.
you don't even need fake eyelashes , you can just put lots of coats of mascara on . and see how it works
I'll be honest, You shouldn't do it its gross BUT if you do want i think this is the way.... get a good mascara by Dior, Lancome, Urban Decay, Clinique or Estee Lauder.......put a thin line on your lash line with black eyeliner or liquid eye liner, curl up your eye lashes, put the mascara 1s on each side, make sure to make it look heavy you need to move your hand and your head both different direction and pick it up... then let it dry and then put a second coat.... then put under your eye on the corner of it black eyeliner and take a brush and blend it a bit to make it look smoother, or use a small sponge,,,, then put the mascara on the bottom lashes, your can use the tip of the mascara if you just want to highlight it a bit and you can use the whole thing to make it look thick like in the picture... now again take it eye lashes curl and pick it up once more when its dry.... hopefully it will work... if its not thick enough i guess try to put a third coat even though it might be a really bad idea,
theres a brand called 'clinique' and its perfect for lashes like them.
but basically, any mascara would give you that look if you applied enough of it, as us british girls, tend to go a bit over the top with the mascara brush! try not to look for mascaras that say 'defined' or whatever,
try to look for 'volume' ones.
That really isn't my taste in lashes. The last one looks OKAY, but the first two are disgusting!
Please don't do that, but if you really want to, around 4 coats thick volume mascara should do it. You'll go through a tube a week.
you dont wanna look like that.

o m g....no you do not want to look like that. You can bring out your eyelashes with out making it look like your mascara is ten years old.
that is really ugly
you should get fake eyelashes instead of using that ugly clumpy look

I have a few customers in London and Sweden, and I place their orders, they pay me through paypal and then I ship them to them. If you are interested in something like that shoot me a message.
I've been wondering this too your best bet is ebay. Although there are some Mark representatives that will ship to you, for more money obviously. I want mark to come to the UK too :(

You could try Ebay as they tend to have a lot of kits available, especially starter kits. On the shopping channels, there is a phone number that you can order direct (think its costs about 拢29.99) and is 0808 161 2765. They send it to you every 3 months or so. You cannot buy it direct from any shops (I have tried!).
Hope this helps

Makeup that WORKS uk women?
You know the way you see some women and their skin looks flawless and all one colour , Well I cant seem to get a fountation that does that for me! I have really clear skin though, Its just quite pale , My skins also dry so bronzer etc makes it all horrible and dryer! Any good founation advice??? Willing to pay upto the 拢25 rangeMakeup that WORKS uk women?
Hi I have found it hard to get a foundation that makes skin look flawless and actually matches my skin colour as I too am very pale,
I have found 2 that are brilliant one is better than the other but they both cover briliiantly ones is 5 pound and one is 7 pound
The 5 pound one is from tescos barbara dailys make up range is oil free and the colour is porceline it covers really well and doesnt leave steaks etc and leaves skin flawless and dewy and last all day. the only thing wrong with it is I think it brings my skin out a little as it does have a scent to it but and it doesnt last long especially if you us it like me everday.
But other than that it is the best foundation I have used and I wish I had found it ages ago as I spend a fortune on foundations and even the expensive ones are rubbish/
The 7 pound one is avons personal match smooth mineral foundation its the same as the bare esentuals one that everyone is talking about, I havent tried the bare esentuals one but this is fantastic for just 7 pound, it covers brillaintly and there is no need to apply powder to stop shine afterwards, its briliiant has no smell and is suitable for sensitive skin and free from irritants, the only thing wrong is as I am pale I went for the pales there which was ivory and its aliitle too pale but I just add a small amount of blusher or bronzer to my skin and I have the flawless look I have been after for ages, and it hasnt irriated my skin either,
I would say that either the nude or almond in this colour is better as it will give a warm look to the skin, im going to get the nude next time as its only 7 pound and usually on offer or buy it and get something free, but I dont mind paying if it works.
If you skin is dry and you find that things make your skin worse then just use vaseline this is what I have been using and my skin is 10x better and no blemishes or irritaitons.
I would try these first before paying out 25 pound as it probably wont work and be a waste of moneyMakeup that WORKS uk women?
I actually like make up that looks natural, barely there. I have quite dry skin and whilst a bit tanned at the moment it is naturally quite pale. My favourite is definitely No7 Intelligent Colour Foundation. Really works well to even skin colour.
http://www.boots.com/brandtreatment/prod鈥?/a>
It never cakes or makes my skin dry either and protects it from the sun and or/ cold weather with it's spf 6 factor.
I love the 17 collection at boots they do these foundations in pump bottles in different shades there are 4.99, if you have quite pale skin i'd go for the nicely natural. For me i give myself a dusting of 17's oil control powder, then a nice bit of blusher to put colour on my cheeks. Also before i put my foundation on, i make sure i've given my face a good scrub (not too hard!) to get rid of any flaky skin then i apply vaseling intensive care moisturiser, this stops me from drying out, and make sure you leave it for at least 5mins to let the moisturiser to soak in. Apply foundation a bit at a time, applying in thin layers instead of just wacking loads on at a time. Hope this helps. xx
i use maybelline air mousse foundation but as a concealer as it seems to cover better and rimmel matte powder foundation which i have used for years as it is the best one i have ever tried and i have tried loads!!!
The new rimmel one that kate moss advertises is great. Then try bourjois chocolate bronzer - it smells like chocolate too yum!
Rimmel Matte Foundation Powder, it's about 拢5 I got it from superdrug. Sweep it over using a foundation-pad.
I also used Collection 2000 concealer in the ';Natural'; colour , it's about 拢3. Dab the concealer with your fingers under the eye-area and any blemishes you might have.
And the new foundation by Rimmel, it's called Renew. It's well good, makes your skin flawless and it lasts all day. Priced at 拢7.99.
You should put some on your fingers and sweep upwards, then blend in a circular motion.
I got all these from Superdrug.

Make up is far too complicated for me
Hey!!!
In the uk, there is a cosmetic brand called ';bare minerals'; sometimes referred as ';bare escentuals';. There cosmetics are 100% mineral based and natural! However they are very expensive.
Check them out!

Superdrug i get all my good make up from there it has everything!!!
My mother buys bare essentials mineral make up from QVC, it's not exactly cheap, but it's really nice stuff. =D
Hi try lily lolo - www.lilylolo.co.uk i've used these and the quality is good and price good. They also do samples of everything that range from £0.50p for eyeshadow and £1 for foundations etc. the foundation and conceler ssamples come in little tubs and are enough for at least 2 or 3 applications maybe more. I order quite a few samples so i could try out colours before ordering which i liked. P.s no minimum order values and u do not have to buy any full size products to get the samples.
Another good one is meeoww - www.meowcosmetics.com
they have more of a range and again have samples of everything which are very cheap - they are based in the usa but deliver to the uk. Although delivery time obviously bit longer. Again fab quality.
P.s the meeow company do huge sized jars in full sized compared to others and are also very reasonably priced although they are shown in dollars so u will have to convert.
Have you heard of Bare Essentuals?? They're the ones that made the whole mineral make up popular. I've been using forever. I love it!

Become a UK Benefit makeup sales girl ??
I would love to become one of those Benefit sales girls you see around Debenhams %26amp; Boots ect. Does anyone know how i could become one? go to your local dept store and ask for the head office contact details of all of the make up houses in-store. then write a letter asking how to apply for a position with them. if you get an interview do not wear alot of makeup. look clean and fresh with a natural look. they will let you know what you have to do.Become a UK Benefit makeup sales girl ??
Why don't you just go to the stores and ask the make up girls how they got their job. Most likely though you will just need to send of your CV with a covering letter to each of the stores stating that you want to work on the make-up dept.
Also I don't believe that most of the make-up counter girls are always attractive. In my opinion, so many of them wear so much make-up they probably need white spirit to get it all off. But hey, each to their own!
Hand your cv over to them and believe me you dont have to be attractive just wear a lot of makeup.
You could check here to see if there are any vacancies near you:
http://careers-benefit.com/job_careers.s鈥?/a>
Good Luck!
Just apply for jobs in department stores by handing in your CV or filling out application forms. Most stores post vacancies on their websites so it's quite easy and once you're in you can find out about other vacancies in the cosmetics department. I got offered a job as a make up sales assistant by working for House of Fraser while working in another department. you could also just ask the girls how they got their job i'm sure they would give you information.
Hope that helps %26amp; good luck
When I went to Bluewater, the girl I spoke to was only 16 and she said they took her on for weekends. She just sent her CV into the store but said she wanted a job at the beauty counter. Or you can just go into the store and hand in your CV to one of the girls working on one of the stools!

Ive found that the best brand in terms of colour, choice, and coverages is Mac. theres all sorts of finishes- from light to full and different types depending on whether your skin is dry/ oily. Its definitely the best brand for women of colour and the consultants are really helpful too. A lot of celebrities wear it and all my indian friends wear it and we're all different shades. try it, i think you'll like it.Which makeup brands in uk do the yellow based foundation for indian skin tones???
I'm not Indian but I know that Virgin Vie do a pink version and a yellowy version of their shades. I use the pink as it suits my skin tone.
Clarins don't do the pink. All of theirs seem to have a yellow base. I quite like their stuff but it is expensive.
Virgin Vie will let you have a sample and most of the make-up counters in Boots and Debenhams will do you a free consultation so that you can see what suits your skins and see how it reacts with your skin before you buy it.
Good Luck!
I don't know if they do a yellow based foundation, but I'm half bengali, and one of my friends is indian, and another afghan, and we're all using Elizabeth Ardens compact creme foundation at the moment. If you go into a department store, they will use a machine to tell you which shade would be best suited to your skin tone. I definatly recommend you try it. Hope you find what you're looking for. xx
Im a pale-yellow coloured indian and i use Loreal True match in shade N3 or shade W3 (depending on wether its summer or winter). If your slightly darker then id sugegest W5 or N4. They blend amazingly well, have great staying power (last at least 6 hours in sweaty summer) and they dont break the bank either at 拢6.99 a bottle. Its available pretty much everywhere, Boots(拢8.99) , Superdrug (拢6.99), Asda Living (拢6.99) just to name a few.

I would stay away from Dream matte mousse as they have orange and pink bases which will make your skin look flat and lifeless.

Also I've heard that MAC Studio Fix is good for indian skin tones but it's expensive! -

Plus Bobbi Brown is another one you could try - http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/looks/concea鈥?/a>
You can find MAC and Bobbi Brown in loads of different department stores etc along with loads of other brands that I'm sure do the right colour foundation for you!
Oh and one last one - http://www.prescriptives.com/templates/p鈥?/a>
Prescriptives have over 500 shades of foundation so they pretty much tailor make it just for you!!
Sorry, I seem to only have given expensive options but they tend to have the most variety!!

Cheap makeup sites UK?!?
Anybody know and good and very cheap sites which sell good brands of makeup for very little .. dont want any american sites just UK sites pleasee 拢拢拢拢 =]Cheap makeup sites UK?!?
i use these websites all the time
hope i helpedCheap makeup sites UK?!?
discountcosmeticsuk.com
cosmeticsfairy.co.uk
directcosmetics.com
Just type 'discount cosmetics' into google and loads of sites will come up. Ususally you can get some really good bargains, because theyre either recalled stock or testers, but the makeup is allways sealed.
If you like using urban decay/too faced cosmetics aswell, there are alot of sites selling discount products from these two brands, again just try typing either 'discount urban decay' or 'discount too faced'. the shipping costs usually dont go over 拢2.00 either. hope this has been helpful!! :D
You will get a far better look and result by using a few key pieces of makeup, rather than loads of cheap stuff.
I would recommend investing in a decent foundation and eyeliner to begin with, and save up for each piece.
Trust me on this, i have been there and the cheap stuff is nasty and will look look and feel cheap!
Try Natural Collection at Boots. (Can also been bought online on the Boots website).
They have no makeup priced over 拢1.99, even foundation and powder and stuff that's usually expensive.
Rimmel is pretty cheap too.
Some Maybelline product can be, but some are a little more pricey.
i use here a lot
i have used loads but their products were cheap crap
i buy branded names very cheaply here
you have to take what they have at the time though
so you stock up as its available
i bought a stay on lipstick from here, 拢8.50 in boots, 拢1.50 from here on thursday, was here friday
